Nerdlacquer Hyperspace Bypass

Hello lovelies!

As promised today I will show you Nerdlacquer - Hyperspace Bypass.

I LOVE THIS POLISH!

It doesn't look that yellow on, actually, it's more gold... just like a Hyperspace Bypass... Man as a fully fledged geek I love the names of these polishes.

Hyperspace Bypass is packed full of big black and gold hex glitter as well as innumerable other smaller glitters and its just fab. I think this was four coats just to get rid of visible nail line, but it would be cool layered over a gold polish. I might try that next. This is another one I didn't have the heart to stamp over 'cos it's just so beautiful. All the kids on my placement loved it too.

YUM!

Thanks for looking

Purple Crumpet Fairy Spring Challenge Day 13 - Tulips!

Hi! So today is day 13 (maybe? I lost count) of the Spring Challenge. Today (or yesterday but we won't talk about that... :D) is Tulips! I really really liked this mani but my photos just don't do it justice, which is a bummer. I particularly like the coraly-red colour which is Barry M - Pink Flamingo with Pop Rocks - Scalper layered over the top. Pop Rocks Scalper is a super sexy holo glitter that's kind of like a smaller version of the glitter in China Glaze - Techno, in a lovely, squidgy red tinted jelly base. YUM! It turned Pink Flamingo into a gorgeous, luminous coral red colour that makes me look super tanned (obviously I still look pasty white - but humour me.)

For the accent nails I used Chick Nails - All A Twitter and Chick Nails - Gavie Green for the tulip stems, and the same coraly red colour for the tulips themselves.

I'm sorry these are such crappy pictures. It's such a grim day, we've got no light and I'm a bit bummed that the pictures don't do my nails justice. Never mine. Be sure to check out all these other lovely bloggers taking part in the challenge. Their tulips are incredible!

What do you think of these - have you ever tried pop rocks before?

Purple Crumpet Fairy Spring Challenge Day 4 - Spring Water Marble!

Day 4. Water Marble. Two words that strike fear into the hearts of bloggers everywhere (except the really clever ones who can do perfect beautiful water marbles :))

This is my first attempt at a water marble. I wish I'd used stronger colours - the blue totally washed out and went all grey. I kind of like it but it's not the effect I was going for.

Wonky left hand shot

So I was about to take it off because I felt a bit 'meh' about it... and I had an idea... why not stamp on it? Et voila!

Another wonky left hand shot - I cannot take pictures of my left hand. I can't even pose my left hand. My little finger won't go straight - it sticks up all ridiculously. :)

And now I love it! It reminds me of 90's graffiti - like a shirt that Will Smith might have worn in the Fresh Prince! Haha.

I used:

Sally Hansen No Chip Base Coat
Models Own - Pink Blush
Chick Nails - All A Twitter
Models Own - Peach Sherbert
ELF - Twinkle
Konad Special Stamping Polish - Black
Seche Vite

Check out all these other lovely bloggers also taking part in the challenge:

Sunday Stamping Challenge BLUE!

So this week's Sunday stamping challenge was BLUE. All blue. No exceptions. No teal. No silver glitter. Nada. Debbie at thecrumpet made that perfectly clear. She's EVIL! (not really... check out her blog, it's awesome :))

So here are my blue nails!!!

Splodgy hearts.. yuch. My left hand was so much better but I've discovered it's nearly impossible to take pictures of my left hand. Gah.

Macro shot of Zoya Twila over Hits - Lindinha GLITTER!!!!

I like these nails because they match my hair! :)
For these I used:

a-England - Order of the Garter (the most beautiful dark blue you will ever see in your life!)
Hits - Lindinha
Zoya - Twila
Konad Special Stamping Polish - Light Blue

First of all... a-england Order of the Garter... !!! I can't even begin explain how beautiful this polish is. I'm going to do a swatch post of the a-england legends collection soon so I'll save my total adoration for this polish for then.
Now I'm going to complain about the Hits powerpuff girls polishes again. I used Lindinha for this because it's a beautiful colour and I wanted to give it another change. Bleugh. It's awful. So goopy and the brush. THE BRUSH! WHY!?! It dries to a really cool almost jelly finish which maybe explains why the formula is so crap. But anyhow.. I won't be using it again. It's not worth the hassle. I couldn't stand how crappy the application was so after I took the pictures I changed the whole thing.

I tried to take a picture of my left hand. This is the best I could do, sorry bout that.

For these I used Zoya Maisie over Zoya Robyn. Much better :)

Thanks for reading :)

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!!

... So I did EVEN MORE Christmas nails. I love these, they're so shiny. They didn't survive an epic present wrapping session, though. Boo :( Sorry about my bashed up fingers. I've been baking and crafting and all kinds, and my hands are suffering. I have burns and cuts all over!

For these I used:

Miss Sporty base coat

China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

Barry M Silver Foil

Seche Vite top coat

China Glaze Rudy Pumps has to be one of my favourite polishes ever. I have so many that I haven't tried, yet I keep using this one, over and over. It's just so deep and beautiful. Do you have any polishes that you just love to use over and over again?

I hope everyone having a great pre-Christmas week!
