I don't actually have a "favorite" band. My favorite fun & silly artist is Jonathon Coulton. My favorite religious artist was Rich Mullins (I'm not a Christian, but a LOT of his music is *awesome* for any deist.) My "theme" song is Bitch by Meredith Brooks. My favorite classical composer is Wagner. I like all kinds of music (with the exceptions of heavy metal where the singer screams instead of sings, and rap where it's more about the filthy words than the actual meaning of the song) so it's really hard to narrow down a favorite in all that!!

Right now, I'd say The Weepies. The female lead singer Deb Talan has a unique voice and their lyrics are about historic figures. That gives an extra depth to their music, I think. Also, it's not the aggressive boom-boom kind of music that makes me feel uneasy. I like music to be relaxing =D
