Glitter Gal Holo and stamping!

Hello!

So I have two versions of the same mani to show you today. I ordered Glitter Gal - Red Holo and Glitter Gal - Silver Holo from Llarowe and I was so excited when they arrived that I couldn't just wear one. I was like... MUST WEAR BOTH! RIGHT NOW! AIMEE SMASH! ... It was awful. Anyway... so I ended up with a mani that looked like two really pretty manis smushed together in a way that didn't work so well. I liked them separately, just not together. However, my boyfriend thought it was cute, so I thought I'd show you anyway. Okay!

Number 1:

ZOMMMGGGHOLLOOOOO. *melts*

It's so pretty!

BWUHRWNWEMN!

BUT - they don't look too good together right? So I redid them all with the red and the stamping.

Behold:

The letters are from my glow in the dark moon calendar! I thought my nails looked ace against the black!

Before Stamping to show amazing holo glory.

Much better right?

Sorry for all the pictures, I couldn't help myself. It's just so sparkly!!!

I used:

Sally Hansen No Chip Base Coat
Glitter Gal - Red Holo (and Silver Holo for nails #1)
a-england - Excalibur (for the stamping)
Colour Club - Wild at Heart (for the hearts on nails #1)
Seche Vite
Bundle Monster BM 12.

The little rhinestones were from ebay for like... £2 or something. Bargain!
I officially love holos!!! Have you tried these?

Thanks for reading!

Neon Pink Leopard and OPI Ds Sapphire - oohhh!

Hello!

You might notice I've changed my blog around a bit. Do you like it? I've been wrestling with it for like.. TWO DAYS! Me and HTML do not get along, so I ended up having to use a template to stop my columns overlapping. Very annoying! Anyway - onto the nails!

For these I used:

Sally Hansen - No Chip Base Coat
China Glaze - Purple Panic
Orly - Ancient Jade
OPI - DS Sapphire
A-england - Excalibur (for the stamping)
Seche Vite

Holo-deliciousness!

I tried out some swatches of DS Sapphire over some different blue/greens. From left to right - DS Sapphire on it's own (ooh), DS Sapphire over Orly Ancient Jade (ahhh), DS sapphire over Collection 2000 Hot Looks Blue Hawaii, DS Sapphire over Collection 2000 Hot Looks Show off and finally, DS Sapphire over Orly Lunar Eclipse (eeehhh). I went with Ancient Jade because it made it slightly green, but how amazing is it over EVERYTHING? You can just see a smidge of OPI Fresh Frog Of Bel Air in the picture. I can't wait to use that one!

Thanks for reading, I hope you're having a great day!

Hot Looks skittles gradient with stamping!

Hi there. These pictures are really wierd. It's so dark and grey outside, there's no light at all, and all the pictures I took looked super dark and horrible, so I've been experimenting. Please forgive the strangness. I WILL get to grips with my camera one day! I liked my gradient experiment so much that I decided to do a full gradient skittle manicure WITH glitter AND stamping! Phew!

This is the best natural light I could get. Come back sun! We miss you!

For these I used:
Miss Sporty Base Coat
Barry M - Matt White.
Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Siren
Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Lemon Soda
Collection 2000 Hot Looks - BMX Bandit
Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Fruit Loop
Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Mint Mojo
E.L.F - Twinkle
Konad Special Stamping Polish - Black
Bundle Monster Plate No. 10

These Hot Looks polishes are actually pretty good quality for the price (£1.99 each!) but as you can see, Seche Vite didn't like it all that much and it has shrunk a little, which is especially evident at the tips. I think this is kind of cute and spring-ish (which might be a little optimistic!). I wish I'd maybe used a lighter blue. These nails didn't last long because my new a-england polishes arrived this morning and I simply MUST use them! I cannot wait! Have you tried a-England? They are AMAZING!

New Konad Plates, a-england Camelot, Glitter AND Gradient!

Happy January!

For these nails I used my new stamping plates that were a Christmas present from my Mum! Hooray! I used a-england - Camelot on all the nails except my ring finger. I LOVE this polish. It's a super, deliciously glossy black that's opaque in one coat, although I used two here out of habit. It's SO shiny and applies so well. I normally make an enormous mess with black polish and clean up takes an age, but this went on perfectly and I barely had to clean up at all. Then I added a coat of La Femme - Fairy Dust which was another Christmas present, this time from my four year old son, then I stamped some sliver stars from my new Bundle Monster Plate 14 using Barry M - Silver Foil.

For the accent nail I used two coats of China Glaze - Lighthouse and then sponged on China Glaze - Papaya Punch, E.L.F - Gum Pink and Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Hot Pink. After that I stamped the star design from Bundle Monster Plate Number 20 using Konad Special Stamping Polish - Black. This was my first ever attempt at a proper gradient and I think it turned out pretty good! I was pretty pleased with it anyway :) I finished with a coat of Seche Vite and voila!

Hope you like them!

Best Christmas Present EVER!

Happy New Year!!!

I hope your 2012 gives you everything you desire and all the happiness in the world! I'm excited about mine. I am hopefully going to go and do my masters degree and finally be able to properly provide for my little family. I already got into Cardiff, so I'm pretty excited!

My mum bought me Konad stamping set B for Christmas! Hooray! It comes with Konad special polishes in red, white and green and a couple of plates. She also bought me a load of Bundle Monster plates which are AMAZING! I tried some stamping before, but never quite got the hang of it, however, after doing everyone's nails with it pretty much all Christmas, I think I'm finally getting there. I'm not nearly as good as people like Marta from Chit Chat Nails, Sammy from The Nailasaurus or Marina from Forever the Ugly Duckling (how does she get all those stamps on there without smudging?!)who are some stamping virtuosi, but maybe one day!

I can't remember what plate I used for these, but I used Konad Special Stamping Polish over Misa - Dirty, Sexy, Money which is just the most gorgeous dusty dark teal kind of a shade. I LOVE IT! I cannot stop staring at this colour, it's just so amazing. I stuck a few rhinestones in the middle of some of the flowers and finished with a coat of Seche Vite. Yummy!!!

I hope you guys have a wonderful New Years Eve and a brilliant New Year! Happy 2012!
