HITS Hera with kitties and pawprints

Hello! Today I have the stunningly beautiful HITS - Hera to show you! YAYY!!! I wanted this polish for SUCH a long time so I snapped it up as soon as it became available on Llarowe. I also managed to get some pictures of it in the sun! YAY! SUN! (We're not getting much of that at the moment... i'm a bit sun-deprived)

I stamped the kitties using Konad Special Stamping Polish in white and then did the little paws with a dotting tool and my go to white China Glaze - White on White.

Look at the holo-y goodness! I must say that the No-Olimpio collection from HITS has a much better formula that the Powerpuff Girls polishes which just filled me with sadness and rage because whilst they're amazing colours, the formulas and brushes suck. The holos however, glide on like magical, sparkly butter.

Do you own any HITS polishes? What do you think of them?

Thanks for looking xxx

Purple Crumpet Fairy Spring Challenge Day 22 - Butterfly!

I really liked this until I saw how awesome all the other blogger's butterflies were!  Lots of them did butterfly wing nails which I've never seen before and are simply stunning!

So - for this I used Revlon - Watermelon Fizz WHICH SMELLS LIKE WATERMELONS!!! A lot of people seem not to like the smell, but I love it, and I have the same problem that I had when I wore  Revlon - Grapefruit Fizz - I keep smelling my fingers and looking like a weirdo! :)

Anyway, I love this colour - it's really bright and juicy and squishy and makes me look really tanned! I took some pictures in the sunshine today! That's right... SUNSHINE! In dreary old Plymouth! I'm going to go out and enjoy it later, once I've written some more of my dissertation (boooo).

Look at the pretty gold shimmer!!!

I used:

Revlon - Watermelon Fizz
Konad Special Stamping Polish - White

For the butterfly -
China Glaze - White on White
Rimmel - Strawberry Fizz (also scented - like Strawberries!)
Hot Looks Collection 2000 - BMX Bandit
Sinful Colors - Island Coral
Kleancolor - Aurora

I used the Kleancolor to do the teeny tiny bit of glitter on the butterfly - I managed to fish out a single piece of large hex glitter to put under the pink spot. I'm quite pleased with myself about that ^_^ The butterfly is done freehand with a teeny brush and some dotting tools.

Make sure you check out these other fabulous bloggers!

Thankyou for looking!

Mismatched Spring Nails with China Claze - Some Like it Haute

Hi!

I love mismatched nails so I decided to do some using quite muted tones, but of course I couldn't resist the call of the glitter...

How amazing is Some Like it Haute?? This is three coats and it's totally opaque. I don't think it's a grey base; more like really densely packed particles of glittery grey in a clear base with that amazing holo glitter, so it doesn't just look like grey with sparkles - the whole thing is sparkly to its very core! The very essence of sparkle. Plato's idea sparkle, if you will. Anyway, I love it!

I am also really loving Nail Pop - Bling. I have never heard of this brand before, and randomly stumbled across them in Superdrug. They have a really cool range of proper on-trend colours. Yesterday I picked up a Nail Pop Flakie top coat which I can't wait to try out! Have you ever tried Nail Pops before?

For these I used:

Thumb:
E.L.F - Gum pink
Nail Pop - Bling

Index:
Miss Sporty - 34 (they don't come with names - boo)
Barry M - Matt White

Middle:
Misa - Grey Matters
Konad Special Stamping Polish - Pink

Ring:
China Glaze - Some Like it Haute

Little Finger:
Barry M - Peach Melba (With Miss Sporty Purple Spots)
China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat

Thanks for looking! Have a lovely Saturday!

New Konad Plates, a-england Camelot, Glitter AND Gradient!

Happy January!

For these nails I used my new stamping plates that were a Christmas present from my Mum! Hooray! I used a-england - Camelot on all the nails except my ring finger. I LOVE this polish. It's a super, deliciously glossy black that's opaque in one coat, although I used two here out of habit. It's SO shiny and applies so well. I normally make an enormous mess with black polish and clean up takes an age, but this went on perfectly and I barely had to clean up at all. Then I added a coat of La Femme - Fairy Dust which was another Christmas present, this time from my four year old son, then I stamped some sliver stars from my new Bundle Monster Plate 14 using Barry M - Silver Foil.

For the accent nail I used two coats of China Glaze - Lighthouse and then sponged on China Glaze - Papaya Punch, E.L.F - Gum Pink and Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Hot Pink. After that I stamped the star design from Bundle Monster Plate Number 20 using Konad Special Stamping Polish - Black. This was my first ever attempt at a proper gradient and I think it turned out pretty good! I was pretty pleased with it anyway :) I finished with a coat of Seche Vite and voila!

Hope you like them!
