Hello! Look what I got!! OPI Black Spotted! HOORAY!!!
I put this over a load of different neons which I can't remember right now. The thing I found about this is that it's best to do really REALLY thin coats. And by thing I mean REALLY thin! Like there's almost nothing on the brush thin, which is difficult because the formula is really watery so it's easy to get too much. This was my first go with it and I really love it. I like it much better than crackles which I've always been a wee bit meh about.
Anyway: Pictures!
Oohhh! Ahhh! Isn't it cool. It reminds me of something Will Smith might have worn in the early 90's :) Tres De La Soul! :)
Anyway, sorry this is so short. I start my new course tomorrow and I'm bogged down with all the pre-course reading. Plus I'm having some personal issues at the moment so I'm sorry I am not posting as much. I hope you guys are all ok!

Festival Water Marble
Hello there! How are you?
I'm off the EOTR Festival in like... A MINUTE! I'm so excited. I wanted to do some lovely nails for it, so I attempted a water marble again. I think it was mildly more successful than last time I did it... I really should have remembered to do a white base coat though.
The polishes I used for the marble were:
China Glaze - Shower Together
Barry M - Pink Flamingo
China Glaze - White on White
and then the accent nail is Dandy Nails - Wonderwall which was yet another lovely gift from one of the ladies in my Birthday club layered over P&K - Bad Romance. I love wonderwall. It's SOOOO pretty! And I love Bad Romance too. P&K is seriously one of my favourite indie polish makers... they're so professional and their colours are just great. I like the indies that focus on glitters, but I really like an indie polish maker who does creams and jellies too. And P&K's are all so innovative. You can check out P&K's etsy store here. Ohh I've just looked and they have new colours... oh dear! I MUST NOT BUY THEM!
Ta da!
What do you think? Thanks for checking out my post and have a lovely weekend.

Neon Ruffian with stars!
Hallo lovelies. How are you all? I'm good. I'm going to End of the Road festival in TWO DAYS and I'm SERIOUSLY excited :)
All of the polishes in this mani were a birthday gift from one of the lovely ladies in my Birthday club group. I love being in a birthday group! It's so much fun. I used Sonia Kashuk - Smoke and Ashes for the base - this is seriously the COOLEST silver I own. It's so shimmery and is kind of like a foil but is made up of teeny tiny microparticles that make it shimmer and glisten like no one's business. Then I did a coat of Sinful Colors - Dream On which my camera has utterly failed to capture. It's a lot more pinkish and a hell of a lot more neon that it looks here. Over the top of that I used Wet and Wild - Hollywood Walk of Fame which is different coloured stars, bar glitter and very sparse square glitter in a clear base. This was a bit of a PITA to be honest, but it's always the way with polishes with big glitter like this, right? The stars are a nightmare to get out and the ends poke up so I ended up scratching myself with my nails. Still, they look pretty right? :)
I really, really like ruffians! I hated them when I first saw them. I thought they looked weird but then I did one and on my own nails I was like... ahhwww yeah this is awesome! Has that ever happened to you? You hated something until you tried it? I love it anyway :)
Thanks for looking

Shameless (awesome) friend promotion - Creatures! And shoes!!!
Hello! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've had a seriously busy couple of weeks. What with children and gigs and pre-course reading. Gosh! So yeah, sorry about that. I've got some lovely posts to make it up to you though. And I've reached 403 followers! Do you know what that means? I'll tell you what it means. It means A GIVEAWAY! Hurrah!
Soon.
But.
Before that. My friend who I have posted about before. My favourite person in the world ever. He paints shoes and canvases and creatures and he is having a giveaway. So to help promote it I did some of his creatures on my nails. BEHOLD!
Now unfortunately, they are a teeny tiny bit chipped, especially my pointy finger because I had a TERRIBLE accident (and by terrible I mean mild) where I fell over, like an idiot, into my bedroom, hurt my hand, carpet burned my foot and felt like a tool. But I really liked these nails and I did them for a purpose and I wanted to show you guys and help out my friend, so hopefully you'll forgive the chip. I used loads of different polishes for this. The colours from left to right are Models Own - Peach Sherbert with Illamasqua - jo'mina, the finger is Illamasqua - Load with China Glaze - Make Some Noize, The middle is Barry m - Strawberry Icecream with Models Own Peach Sherbert dots and the creature is Sinful Colors - Why Not with the black accents in a-england - Bridal Veil and finally the pointy finger is The Hungry Asian - Mint Condition with China Glaze - White on White. Phew!
You can see photos of the inspirations for these nails on his facebook page Here. And here are my shoes that he did for me. YEAH!
SO! What can you win and how? Well firstly the prize is THREE canvases. You can enter by going to his facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Barefoot-Clothing/94165415917 and clicking on the picture of the canvas and following the instructions. Please also check out his blog: http://barefoot-clothing.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/3-original-canvas-giveaway-extravaganza.html with more instructions and extra entries and also the etsy page: http://www.etsy.com/shop/barefootclothing where you can peruse pre-painted shoes or order custom shoes and canvases. They're super lovely, super reasonable and one of a kind! I wouldn't lie to you :) Not ever. Here is the picture of the first canvas.
So go to the facebook page and enter the giveaway. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Barefoot-Clothing/94165415917 and keep your eyes peeled for a giveaway on here soon. I really appreciate all my followers and I'm so excited to get to 400! Look out for more posts now I'm less busy too!

Holo crazy!!
Hello lovelies!
I went a bit crazy with this mani! I got a package from Llarowe and another from Rainbow Honey and I couldn't decide what polish to wear so ... I wore all of them :) Hooray!
I used Jade Holographic Nail Polish - Mystic Gold on my thumb, first finger and little finger and then did two layers of Rainbow Honey - A Little Kindness from their equestria collection. I LOVE this combo. A lot. Mystic gold is a beautiful gold holo with a lot of green going on in there and it suits the pink and gold tones of ALK really nicely. I love the way the holo shows through the glitter. On the other fingers I used Enchanted Polish - Magic Mirror which is a beautiful lavender holo with little silver shards in. I couldn't get the shards to show up in the polish though. Next time I wear it I'll give the bottle a really good shake to see if I can get those shy little shards to show up. I stamped with Barry M Gold Foil and did some dots with Orly - Purple Pleather. You can see the gorgeous scattered holo in both of these polishes in the last two pictures. Nom.
Mughhrrrr I love holos. I wish the sun would come out again so I can utilise my holo collection to its fullest extent. Come on sun!
I hope you're having a lovely day!

Pretty and Polished Sand Art!
Hello! Sorry I've been so rubbish at posting recently. I've been super busy. :)Today I'm going to show you a mani I did with Pretty and Polished Sand Art which I have wanted for AGGGESSS!!! It's quite similar to Nailventurous - Floam, but it has pink purple and orange matte glitters in which make it look just like that sand art you get when you go on holiday :) I really REALLY love it. Here I've layered two coats over Illamasqua - Nomad. For the other nails I used Cult Nails - Untamed from the Cult Nails Coco Collection. Untamed is a beautiful bubblegum pink jelly with teeny tiny holo glitter. I have to say the formula on this is awesome. Normally I have trouble with jellies. I'm not really patient enough for them but this one is a dream. For the dots I used Orly - Frisky, Orly - Snowcone and Zoya - Lotus and the heart is China Glaze -White on White.
Thanks for looking!
