Haul Post! (picture heavy!)

These are things I've bought in the past week or so, with the exception of the Zoya True collection which I bought last month and took forever to arrive! Most of this arrived today - it was pretty much the most exciting post ever!!

From left to right (is that right? I'm so rubbish at knowing my left from my right!) Models Own - Beetlejuice Aqua Violet, Barry M - Mint Green, Barry M Croc Effect, Nails Inc Magnetic Effect Polish - Whitehall, Nubar - Baby Sprout.

I got the Models Own and the Nails Inc for FREE with some credits I had on my littlewoods account, which is great because the Nails Inc should have been something like £14 which is much more than I'd be willing to spend on one bottle of nail polish, magnetic or no. The Nubar is a shade I've been looking for FOREVER that I finally found on Ebay. I'm not sure what I think of the Croc effects yet - I'm not into crackle effects (sorry!) but I'm kind of intrigued by the croc effects. It's neater I think and a bit cooler looking. I swatched it on a nail wheel and I kinnnddd of like the effect. I'm tentative.

Models Own bottle shot! Mmmm duochrome!

OPI - Lunch at the Delhi. Another colour I've wanted for ages. I like the very punny name too! (sorry!)

The Zoya True Collection! Hooray! I only bought this because I wanted Cho. Ha. From left to right - Farah, Cho, Bevin, Skylar, Lotus and Tru. Yum!

Zoya Chloe, Maisie and Opal.

Chick Nails! I love these! I've wanted them for so long. They delivered super fast to the UK too! From left to right - All a Twitter, Gavie Green and Gr8 Grey Own. Check out the super cute bottles! I also got a sweet little chick nails decal that's on my helmer. Yay!

How cute is this bottle?

a-england legends! I got, from left to right - St. George, Dragon, Order of the Garter, Ascalon, Princess Tears.

Close up bottle shots! St George

Dragon

Order of the Garter

Ascalon

Princess Tears

These are so insanely beautiful. I'm totally in love with them!

And finally: My Dashica SdP - A stamping plate! I couldn't take a good picture of this, so sorry about that. I kept seeing the reflection of my ceiling light in my camera and got really confused. I actually thought for a minute that my lens was wonky and pointing towards the ceiling. Then I realised it was a reflection and felt like a massive idiot. Fortunately no-one saw, but then I told you guys. Ha.

Phew! That was a lot of pictures. I hope you enjoyed this post!!

Sunday Stamping Challenge BLUE!

So this week's Sunday stamping challenge was BLUE. All blue. No exceptions. No teal. No silver glitter. Nada. Debbie at thecrumpet made that perfectly clear. She's EVIL! (not really... check out her blog, it's awesome :))

So here are my blue nails!!!

Splodgy hearts.. yuch. My left hand was so much better but I've discovered it's nearly impossible to take pictures of my left hand. Gah.

Macro shot of Zoya Twila over Hits - Lindinha GLITTER!!!!

I like these nails because they match my hair! :)
For these I used:

a-England - Order of the Garter (the most beautiful dark blue you will ever see in your life!)
Hits - Lindinha
Zoya - Twila
Konad Special Stamping Polish - Light Blue

First of all... a-england Order of the Garter... !!! I can't even begin explain how beautiful this polish is. I'm going to do a swatch post of the a-england legends collection soon so I'll save my total adoration for this polish for then.
Now I'm going to complain about the Hits powerpuff girls polishes again. I used Lindinha for this because it's a beautiful colour and I wanted to give it another change. Bleugh. It's awful. So goopy and the brush. THE BRUSH! WHY!?! It dries to a really cool almost jelly finish which maybe explains why the formula is so crap. But anyhow.. I won't be using it again. It's not worth the hassle. I couldn't stand how crappy the application was so after I took the pictures I changed the whole thing.

I tried to take a picture of my left hand. This is the best I could do, sorry bout that.

For these I used Zoya Maisie over Zoya Robyn. Much better :)

Thanks for reading :)

Holo Ruffian with Stamping AND Zoya Fleck Effect! YAY!

Good evening lovely people! How has your day been? I've been working on my dissertation all day, then I had a phone interview (I'm NOT a phone person!) and then I had to go and deliver my weekly music workshop at school. All I want to do is play Skyrim and paint my nails but alas I am busy all the time. Le sigh.

But paint my nails I did! There are so many things I've been wanting to try. I've had lots of ideas in my head and I want to do them all which is why this manicure has a bit of everything in it! This is my first attempt at a ruffian and I kind of really love how it turned out!

Check out the holo! LOVE!

Flakies! Super subtle, but I love them!

Weird blurry picture to try and capture the holo rainbow.

For these I used:

Sally Hansen No Chip Base Coat
Glitter Gal Silver Holo
China Glaze  - Aquadelic
Zoya - Maisie
Konad Special Stamping Polish White
Seche Vite

I LOVEEE the Zoya fleck effects. They're so pretty. They're quite subtle. I only used one coat over Aquadelic but you can layer them to make it more exciting. I am also a big fan of the ruffian. I thought I would muck up the line and it'd be a wonky nightmare but I think it turned out okay! The bow stamp is from some cute fauxnads I got from ebay and the little heart rhinestone is from ebay too.

How pretty is aquadelic?! This is pretty much one of my favourite colours ever. That greeny blue pastel thing gets me every time :)

What do you think?
